Across Israel and the global Jewish world, 20–30 organizations are actively engaged in interfaith and shared-society work—spanning education, community building, policy, and academia. Yet the field remains fragmented, with limited coordination, an underdeveloped professional infrastructure, and unrealized collective impact. Most organizations are small, constraining their ability to invest in training, knowledge development, and long-term capacity building.
The Field Building Project was established to address this gap.
Our vision is to create a dedicated learning and leadership framework for key professionals and practitioners in the field. Through shared learning, network-building, and the development of best practices, the project strengthens both individual organizations and the field as a whole.
As of 2024, the Center has been leading an internal field and capacity building process with over 20 partner organizations. By connecting leading actors, fostering collaboration, and investing in professional excellence, the Field Building Project transforms a fragmented landscape into a coordinated ecosystem with meaningful influence on Israeli society and beyond.
This process is modeled after other successes from recent years, such as the fields of Jewish Intentional Communities (led by the Hakhel network), Jewish Peoplehood (led by the Reut Institute), caring for people with disabilities field (led by the Ruderman Foundation), the Trauma Coalition, and more.
