Can religion shift from being a source of conflict in the Middle East to becoming part of the solution?
At the Jerusalem Interfaith Center, we believe that Judaism and Islam can move beyond competing narratives and embrace their shared heritage as complementary chapters in a common story. We foster profound religious respect between Jews and Muslims, affirming the value of each other’s faith and religious identity.
Our work highlights the deep familial bond between Jews and Muslims through our common patriarch, Abraham, and seeks to transform this shared heritage into a foundation for fraternity rather than rivalry. Yet our vision extends beyond coexistence and tolerance. Our goal is genuine partnership, a relationship in which Jews and Muslims draw upon their respective religious traditions to work together in addressing the moral and spiritual challenges of our time.
Such a partnership requires mutual theological recognition. We are therefore committed to developing religious frameworks that enable both communities to recognize and affirm one another while remaining authentically rooted in their own traditions.
We continue to expand our longstanding network of Muslim religious leaders, scholars, and institutions. Together, we seek to fulfill our shared responsibility before God by advancing mutual recognition, religious fraternity, and collaborative action.
Our monograph, Jewish–Muslim Religious Fraternity: A Renewed Paradigm for a Shared Future, presents a theological roadmap for this new relationship. Its vision is advanced through educational initiatives, leadership training, and media engagement designed to foster a lasting paradigm shift within both communities.
This vision is already gaining significant international recognition. It has been presented at leading global forums, including the G20 Interfaith Forum, the International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington, and the Interfaith Dialogue of Civilizations initiative at the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi.
Through partnerships with senior religious leaders, grassroots initiatives, educational programs, media outreach, and international conferences, we are building a growing global movement dedicated to transforming Jewish–Muslim relations, from suspicion to trust, from rivalry to fraternity, and from conflict to partnership.
